ABD Presents its 2024 Report: A Year of Transformation and Impact with People at the Core

With over 110,000 people assisted and 715,000 reached through awareness efforts, ABD reaffirms its commitment to reducing social and health inequalities through an innovative, community-based, and person-centered model

The Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD Group) has released its 2024 Social Report and Balance Sheet, a publication that reflects a year of major progress in social impact and community transformation. With over 110,000 people assisted and 715,000 reached through awareness efforts, ABD reaffirms its commitment to reducing social and health inequalities through an innovative, community-based, and person-centered model.

This year’s report takes a step forward in both visual and narrative storytelling, with a stronger focus on humanizing its impact by highlighting real stories from service users and volunteers. These stories were gathered during a participatory event held at Jardí Fènix, an ABD initiative aimed at improving the social and labor inclusion of people undergoing drug dependency treatment through agroecology.

Under the theme “A Year of Transformation and Impact,” the report is structured as a visual and conceptual narrative with strong graphic and emotional elements. For the first time, it features a four-page central foldout presenting key 2024 data, projects, and themes in an integrated and accessible way.

Key milestones from the year include:

  • 30 years of CAMS, a pioneering program supporting people living with HIV.
  • “Catalunya Impacta” recognition for ATENEA, an initiative using AI to combat loneliness among the elderly.
  • Strengthening of health promotion, wellbeing, and risk prevention services with the integration of the PDS Association.
  • Consolidation of La Botiga: three years as a benchmark in transforming free food distribution services.
  • Expansion of child and family support services in Castilla y León.
  • Participation in 18 international projects and special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council.
  • Volunteer Award for Energy Control: recognition of harm reduction initiatives.

With a team of over 1,800 professionals and 500 volunteers, ABD is firmly established as a leader in the social third sector, with a clear commitment to innovation, sustainability, and social justice.

The report is available in digital format and has been designed to adapt to various communication platforms. ABD invites all citizens to learn more about its work and join its mission: transforming communities and lives through commitment, uniqueness, and social innovation.
