On the 20th and 21st of October, the closing meeting of the BOOST project was held in Athens to present and evaluate the results and discuss the next steps to promote the future sustainability of the project.
The first day focused on reviewing the progress and key learnings of the project, with an overview of the status of the project and the work packages with the entities responsible for each package and the European Network of People who Use Drugs (EuroNPUD). A workshop was also held with the participation of ResultsInHealth, where the preliminary results of the external evaluation and the main lessons learned during the three years of the project were presented.
The second day was devoted to discussing the steps to be taken once the project is completed. Future prospects were addressed, including aspects such as the project’s survival in the current financial and political climate, as well as the communication of results, cooperation within the consortium and the continuity of activities beyond 2025.
After the meeting, several spaces and services related to harm reduction were visited, such as Ath Checkpoint, Positive Hub, Generation Act, Ref Checkpoint and Red Umbrella
This meeting was essential for finalising the cooperation results and ensuring the continued impact of the BOOST project.
