The director of the Technical Department and the Inclusion and Poverty Area, Mònica Plana, and the coordinator of the International Department, Mireia Munté, took part at the summit
On the 20th and 21st of March, the director of the Technical Department and the Inclusion and Poverty Area of the ABD Group, Mònica Plana, and the coordinator of the International Department, Mireia Munté, have taken part at the Euclid Network Impact Summit 2024.
Held in The Hage with the motto “From Intention to Action”, the gathering wants to create and strengthen meaningful connections between social impact-oriented leaders, representatives of non-profit organizations and social enterprises, networks and support organizations, foundations, impact investors, corporate innovators, people from academia and research, researchers and public policy makers.
At the Summit, key impact leaders join forces to address global societal and environmental challenges and define innovative, sustainable solutions and partnerships.
ABD led the round table “Scaling social innovations across borders. From dream to reality”, focused on the challenges of internationalization of social innovations.
The CEO of ABD shared the story of the organisation and the work that has been doing since the 80’s. Munté and Plana addressed the challenges, best practices and risks associated to scaling social innovations both at the european level and internationally, considering the strategic, organisational and financial perspectives. Furthermore, they shared the example of La Botiga, the project of El Prat municipal council managed by ABD in partnership with Espigoladors, and its transformation process.
The debate included the role of public administrations and national and local ecosystems. The objective is identifying how to build a stronger and more prosperous ecosystem to allow more social companies to scale internationally.
