{"id":32932,"date":"2022-05-18T09:54:39","date_gmt":"2022-05-18T07:54:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abd.ong\/?p=32932"},"modified":"2022-05-18T12:30:53","modified_gmt":"2022-05-18T10:30:53","slug":"abd-serves-156882-people-during-2021-25-more-than-in-the-previous-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abd.ong\/en\/general-en\/abd-serves-156882-people-during-2021-25-more-than-in-the-previous-year\/","title":{"rendered":"ABD serves 156,882 people during 2021, 25% more than in the previous year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>The Welfare and Development Association has become one of the first third-sector social entities to receive the international certification of achievement of the United Nations SDGs<\/em><\/h3>\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/abd.ong\/recurso\/2021-anual-report-and-social-balance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> 2021 Anual Report and Social Balance<\/a> of the<a href=\"https:\/\/abd.ong\/en\/\"> ABD Welfare and Development Association<\/a> is now available. A year that has still been marked by the health, social and economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. A year in which we have begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but in which we still live in a very delicate scenario.<\/p>\n\n<p>At ABD we have continued to accompany and promote essential services and support for people in vulnerable situations who, before the coronavirus, already had many difficulties in meeting basic needs, and have now seen their situation worsen. We are a singular and an indispensable agent at a social and health level. We are present and we feel that we cannot step aside.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The action of the ABD Group in 2021, we are Third Sector<\/h3>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>ABD&#8217;s social action is transversal, because we are together with people and communities that live in situations as diverse as intellectual disability, health and mental health problems, lack of basic goods \u2014such as housing or energy\u2014, sexist violence or child abuse, the simple fact of ageing or migrating to another country, drug use, discrimination based on gender, ethnicity or origin, or lack of access to services or work.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p>During 2021, the ABD Group <strong>has served 156,882 people<\/strong> through <strong>137 services and programs<\/strong>, 25% more than in 2020. This task has been possible thanks to the work of<strong> 1,686 professionals<\/strong> and <strong>504 volunteers and collaborators<\/strong>. We have woven a network with more than <strong>120 entities and platforms<\/strong> from the administration and the Third Sector. In addition, we have implemented <strong>10 international projects with 17 countries<\/strong> to promote knowledge exchange and social innovation.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals<\/h3>\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Our purpose is to contribute to the strengthening of people, groups and communities that suffer exclusion processes, enhancing their capacities and defending their rights. We believe in the need to develop common strategies, which is why we have reinforced our commitment to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
