With the title ‘Gender-based violence in nightlife and leisure venues: moving forward inclusive models of care and collaborative responses’ it gathered more than 60 attendees<\/h2>\n\n

Lisbon hosted the final conference of the <\/span>CRISSCROSS project<\/span><\/a> to discuss strategies and actions to move forward inclusive models of care and collaborative responses to have nightlife and leisure spaces free of gender-based violence. 60 people, mostly professionals from different countries and fields, attended the conference in person and about 40 more followed the online streaming.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Lara Rot, project coordinator from <\/span>ABD<\/span><\/a>, opened the conference sharing the goals and the main activities carried out by the partners. Then, Cristiana Pires from <\/span>Kosmicare<\/span><\/a>, Cecilia Gaboardi from <\/span>Cooperativa Lotta<\/span><\/a>, Mariorosa Lanelli from <\/span>ACRA<\/span><\/a>, Alex Loverre from <\/span>4Motion<\/span><\/a>, Nicki Killeen from <\/span>Health Service Executive<\/span><\/a>, Jordi Navarro from ABD and Luisa Herrera from <\/span>Universidad de Sevilla<\/span><\/a> introduced the main impacts from the pilots implemented in Lisbon, Milano, Luxemburg, Dublin and Barcelona. In addition, they shared the insights from the training program and the communications campaign and the results of the research report.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Policy recommendations to safer and inclusive nightlife environments were approached by Isabel Herrera from Universidad de Sevilla alongside with Linda Montanari from the <\/span>European Union Drugs Agency<\/span><\/a>, who shared the data gathered by the agency regarding drugs use and GBV context, prevalence and temporality.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

After the coffee break, there was a panel discussion about <\/span>Approaches to addressing and preventing sexual violence in nightlife<\/span><\/i> with Ana Burgos, Coordinator of <\/span>Observatori Noct\u00e0mbul@s<\/span><\/a> & <\/span>Malva project<\/span><\/a>; Elisa Virgili, Researcher of <\/span>Bicocca University<\/span><\/a> – both members of the CRISSCROSS Advisory Board-; Rebeca Marques Rocha, PhD at the <\/span>Central European University in Vienna<\/span><\/a> and member of the<\/span> International Network Youth RISE<\/span><\/a>; Mathilde Neuville, Co-founder and president of <\/span>Consentis<\/span><\/a>; Kusa\u00ef Kedri, Project manager at the <\/span>Rosa Letzebuerg organization<\/span><\/a> and the <\/span>Rainbow Center<\/span><\/a>; and Jo\u00e3o Matias, Scientific analyst on drug use at <\/span>European Union Drugs Agency<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The main results of the CRISSCROSS project were presented at the final conference. Some of them are already available for download on the <\/span>Crisscross website<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
