{"id":162462,"date":"2024-09-05T09:41:54","date_gmt":"2024-09-05T07:41:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abd.ong\/?p=162462"},"modified":"2024-09-05T10:44:04","modified_gmt":"2024-09-05T08:44:04","slug":"crisscross-launches-digital-campaign-to-promote-safer-leisure-spaces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abd.ong\/en\/international\/crisscross-launches-digital-campaign-to-promote-safer-leisure-spaces\/","title":{"rendered":"CRISSCROSS launches digital campaign to promote safer leisure spaces"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">#REclaimTheNight wants to empower youth to take an active role in preventing prejudice, discrimination and harassment.<\/h4>\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>Reclaim the night!<\/em> With this title, the European project <a href=\"http:\/\/crisscrossproject.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRISSCROSS<\/a>, coordinated by ABD, launches a campaign that aims to promote safe nightlife and socialization spaces and to prevent male violence behaviors &#8211; including LGTBIphobia &#8211; linked to sexual violence and substance abuse.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through<strong> three key messages<\/strong> &#8211; REcognize, REclaim, REact &#8211; the aim is to empower participants to take an active role in the prevention of prejudice, discrimination and harassment. Following <strong>8 steps &#8211; REspect, REaffirm, REthink, REcognize, REfresh, REspond, REset, REsponsibility<\/strong>&#8211; the youngsters will be able to enjoy a party where respect, mutual care and healthy fun are the protagonists, thus claiming a night free of stereotypes and violence.<\/p>\n\n<p>The campaign will be implemented during this month of September, mainly on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/abd_ong\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABD&#8217;s social networks<\/a><\/strong> with the hashtags #REgeneremlafesta #REclaimTheNight.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CRISSCROSS project<\/h4>\n\n<p>CRISSCROSS is an <strong>intervention program in nightlife, leisure and socialization spaces to raise awareness and prevent gender-based violence<\/strong>, including LGBTIphobia, linked to sexual violence and substance abuse.<\/p>\n\n<p>Its main objective is to <strong>confront gender-based violence in nightlife and socialization spaces frequented by adolescents and young people<\/strong> (16-24 years old) through the design, testing and evaluation of innovative <strong>pilots<\/strong> based on the methodology of the wheel of change, to raise awareness, change attitudes and prevent behaviors of male violence -including LGBTIphobia- linked to sexual violence and substance abuse.<\/p>\n\n<p>Since the end of May, the project partners have launched <strong>pilot initiatives<\/strong> with interventions in nightlife areas. In the case of Barcelona, four professionals intervene every Friday in a nightlife area in the municipality of <a href=\"https:\/\/abd.ong\/en\/international\/crisscross-project-presents-its-pilot-in-sant-cugat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sant Cugat<\/a> where they provide information and advice on risk reduction and sexualities. There will also be itinerant actions to prevent and raise awareness of violence in leisure spaces.<\/p>\n\n<p>The project is funded by the CERV-2022-DAPHNE program and coordinated by <a href=\"https:\/\/abd.ong\/en\/\">Asociaci\u00f3n Bienestar y Desarrollo ABD<\/a> (SP) with partner organisations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acra.it\/\">ACRA<\/a> (IT), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooplotta.org\/\">Cooperativa Lotta Contro l\u2019Emarginazione<\/a> (IT), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kosmicare.org\/\">Kosmicare<\/a> (PT), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4motion.lu\/\">4MOTION<\/a> (LU), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.ie\/eng\/\">Health Service Executive<\/a> (IR), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.us.es\/\">Universidad de Sevilla<\/a> (SP).<\/p>\n\n<p>Check the campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/crisscrossproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/MANIFESTO_CRISSCROSS.pdf\">manifesto <\/a>and the project official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/crisscross_project\/\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#REclaimTheNight wants to empower youth to take an active role in preventing prejudice, discrimination and harassment.
