Last week we hosted and met with the ICLEI Action Fund representatives to discuss the implementation of the Climate Ready \u2013 BCN project. <\/p>\n\n

On<\/span> Tuesday<\/span> 7th <\/span>of<\/span> November<\/span>, <\/span>members<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Climate<\/span>–<\/span>Ready<\/span> BCN<\/span> projec<\/span>t<\/span> participate<\/span>d<\/span> in a<\/span> k<\/span>nowledg<\/span>e<\/span> exchang<\/span>e<\/span> betwee<\/span>n<\/span> <\/span>ICLEI<\/span><\/span><\/span> Actio<\/span><\/span><\/span>n<\/span><\/span><\/span> Fun<\/span><\/span><\/span>d<\/span><\/span><\/span> 2.0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> project<\/span>s<\/span> o<\/span>n<\/span> th<\/span>e<\/span> use<\/span> o<\/span>f<\/span> AI<\/span>–<\/span>base<\/span>d<\/span> technologies<\/span><\/strong> at<\/span> th<\/span>e<\/span> Smart City Expo.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Representatives <\/span>fro<\/span>m<\/span> <\/span>Ecoserveis<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/span>ABD<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/span>CIMNE<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> a<\/span>n<\/span>d <\/span>the<\/span> <\/span>Barcelona City Council<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> w<\/span>ere<\/span> present<\/span> together<\/span> with<\/span> members<\/span> from<\/span> the<\/span> <\/span>DigiCityClimate<\/span> project<\/span><\/span><\/a> and <\/span>the<\/span> <\/span>ICLEI <\/span><\/span><\/span>Action<\/span><\/span><\/span> Fund<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> to<\/span> discuss<\/span> the<\/span> challenges<\/span>, <\/span>learnings<\/span> and <\/span>achievements<\/span> with<\/span> regard<\/span> to<\/span> technology<\/span>, <\/span>data <\/span>gathering<\/span>, <\/span>data <\/span>sources<\/span> and AI-<\/span>based<\/span> methodologies<\/span> planned<\/span> and <\/span>adopted<\/span> to<\/span> reach<\/span> the<\/span> project<\/span> goals<\/span>.<\/span> The<\/span> group<\/span> shared<\/span> the<\/span> obstacles<\/span> and <\/span>challenges<\/span> found<\/span> so <\/span>far<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> development<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> project<\/span> and <\/span>the<\/span> possible<\/span> solutions<\/span> and <\/span>learnings<\/span> achieved<\/span> from<\/span> those<\/span> challenges<\/span>. n <\/span>addition<\/span>, <\/span>there<\/span> was<\/span> some<\/span> time <\/span>to<\/span> exchange<\/span> ideas and <\/span>good<\/span> practices<\/span> between<\/span> the<\/span> two<\/span> projects<\/span> and ICLEI <\/span>to<\/span> share <\/span>information<\/span> and <\/span>find<\/span> ways<\/span> of<\/span> collaboration<\/span> and mutual <\/span>support<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

With this visit, the ICLEI team was able to get a closer idea of the reality of Barcelona and the actions to prevent and support people affected by energy poverty and the capacities of the Climate Ready BCN project to help the current services and improve the city\u2019s actions to prevent and adapt to the effects of Climate Change.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
